A summer heat wave heralded the return to Chewton Glen of Clive McNish, who took up his post as general manager of this luxury country hotel and spa on Monday July 18, 2022.
With over 25 years of experience managing resorts, wellness and spas on three continents, Clive has a true passion for hospitality and strives to provide an exemplary service experience to guests. His global journey began at Chewton Glen between 1995 and 2003, where he honed his skills. as our Spa Manager at the time.
Working for GOCO Hospitality in various roles since 2014, Clive first joined as General Manager of a large GOCO Wellness Center project in Beijing, then promoted to Corporate General Manager and later as COO of the group, where he gained considerable experience in all aspects of the project. development, overseeing the successful opening and management of all GOCO Hospitality brand spas and retreats.
Clive has spearheaded projects in many locations around the world, serving as General Manager at Glen Ivy Hot Springs, America’s Oldest Hot Springs in 2016, where he spent four years raising it to the rank of flagship property of GOCO.
Prior to joining GOCO Hospitality, Clive served for five years as the Wellness Director and General Manager of the renowned Kamalaya Wellness Resort, located on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. Previous roles have included two years as Head of Spa at the Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya and nearly four years at Four Seasons, as Opening Spa Manager of the Four Seasons Resort Provence in Terre Blanche and the Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire. .
