New properties from Radisson Collection, Hyatt Regency and LXR Hotels & Resorts made the cut in our roundup of this month’s most exciting hotel openings.

Each of these flagship projects combines ambitious design with luxury hospitality experiences informed by its environment.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Magdalena Plaza Seville

An elegant reconversion, this five-star Radisson Collection hotel now welcomes travelers in two buildings comprising 89 rooms, including five suites, with touches of bronze, glass and marble, soft blue furnishings and wooden floors. These rooms are connected by a gourmet restaurant, a rooftop swimming pool and a terrace with lounge bar, as well as a solarium, a gym and a spa. The property is particularly notable for housing a gastronomic concept offering the innovative Spanish cuisine of Michelin-starred chef Aneko Atxa.

The project was developed by Millenium Hotels Real Estates, with Borgos Pieper leading the architectural design, and represents Radisson Collection’s first property in Spain. This newly opened hotel sits in the heart of Seville on a palm-fringed pedestrian plaza near the city’s museums, theaters and royal palaces, featuring contemporary interiors inspired by the region’s history and city life. In addition, the impressive property runs entirely on renewable energy, achieving the first LEED Hospitality Gold level in Spain.

Hyatt Regency West Cairo

This new-build five-star hotel is located in Pyramids Heights Business Park, offering easy access to sites such as the Great Pyramids of Giza. The 250 guest rooms at the Hyatt Regency Cairo West are joined by facilities for business and leisure travelers. The property was developed by ALDAU Development with Simeon Halstead Associates behind its architectural and interior design, and Design Lab also contributing to the interiors.

Of the hotel’s keys, 26 are suites and several are spa rooms with hot tubs, saunas and massage tables. Room designs are inspired by Egyptian culture, while floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the pyramids or the hotel pool and gardens. Amenities include the Regency Club Lounge, eight restaurants and bars, including Japanese-Peruvian fusion specialist Barranco, the two-pool Pool Bar, and the rooftop City Lounge.

Roku Kyoto, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Hilton Worldwide’s LXR Hotels & Resorts brand made its APAC debut with the opening of Roku Kyoto. Based on the brand’s approach to luxury hospitality, defined by individuality and immersion in the place, this property was developed in partnership with Tokyu Land Corporation and Tokyu Resorts & Stays Co. The hotel includes 114 rooms including Roku and Peak Suites, Garden Deluxe rooms with private onsen and deluxe poolside rooms at Roku Spa.

Intended to provide a one-of-a-kind stay, this new property is housed within the 28.6-acre Shozan Resort Kyoto, home to idyllic Japanese gardens, historic architecture and authentic tea rooms. All of this is located under the Takagamine Mountains of northern Kyoto and within walking distance of famous landmarks such as the “Golden Pavilion” of Kinkaku-ji. The property was designed by Blink Design Group, drawing inspiration from the location’s origins as an artisan colony, fusing traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic.
