Yorkshire Spa Days: Yorkshire’s best spa breaks, from log cabins to Turkish baths
Mother’s Day is right around the corner and we’re all looking for the best gifts for some of the most special women in our lives.
Last year, Mother’s Day fell on Sunday, March 14.
But Mother’s Sunday always falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent in the UK, so this year Mother’s Day falls on March 27, which means it’s fast approaching.
While moms should feel special every day, Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show our moms how much we appreciate them.

Last year we weren’t so lucky to show them off because so many of us were separated due to the pandemic and couldn’t be together on Mother’s Day.
But this year is a great opportunity to catch up, and spa days are a great way to unwind.
We’ve put together a list of eight breaks you can give your mom and provided the links for you to book.
The Spa Hotel, Saltburn by the Sea
The Spa Hotel averages a four star rating on TripAdvisor and probably offers one of the most scenic breaks you can have. Set overlooking Hunt Cliff and the North Sea, there is also the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.
The Amber Rooms are the beauty and well-being suites of the hotel. They are renowned for their hot stone massages followed by cocktails and a platter to share.
The food seems to be the standout feature with rave reviews as people say they “would eat here every week if they could”.
With its Victorian architecture and views of York Minster, it’s no surprise that The Principal is also considered a premier luxury wedding venue.
It has a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam and jacuzzi.
Complimented for its stunning views and friendly staff, rave reviews on how relaxing they found their stay.
Search for Rudding Park Hotel
One of Rudding’s best features is its rooftop spa experience. There’s also hydrotherapy, thermal experiences, and the Escape Zone, a peaceful space for guests having treatment.
It uses natural spring waters from its own grounds and there is even a sunlight therapy room.
Reviewers compliment the staff, writing, “They go out of their way to make you feel special.”
York Marriott Hotel, York
The Marriott hotel is within walking distance of York city center where attractions such as the National Railway Museum and York Minster are located.
There are the usual features like a heated pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and gymnasium, but here there’s even a private tennis court.
You can even have a drink on the sunny terrace overlooking York Racecourse.
Reviews mention: “spacious, airy and clean” with praise for the sauna and steam room.
Turkish Baths, Harrogate
Built in the 19th century, this ornate Moorish-style bathhouse claims to have “perfected the art of relaxation since 1897”.
They offer many special packages, such as the Sacred Nature Escape Package.
There’s an anti-aging facial, massages and more that Turkish Baths say will have you walking on air.
There are many different packages costing up to £170.
Reviewers cite the “beautiful historic building”, the “refreshing” plunge pool, and the “beyond unique” experience.

This hotel and spa features 80 acres of landscaped grounds as well as an indoor pool, spa, sauna, two restaurants, and three bars.
Each room is individually designed and the spa includes an 11-meter pool, steam room and hot tub. There are also many additional treatments, but they must be booked in advance.
Titanic Spa, Huddersfield

It uses its own spring water for the swimming pool and for its relaxing treatments. Here you have the possibility to book fully equipped self-catering apartments.
It also has a champagne bar and you don’t have to stay – a spa day is on offer from £85.
